The thought came to me of the potter and the clay. Let’s suppose the potter is working on the vessel – which he sees in light of his intent for the finished product. If during the process – he needs to rework the clay = he never sees it as an imperfect vessel – for he is intent to finish the vessel – according to his vision. Likewise – we are His workmanship.
